A professionally trained makeup artist has been trained in all aspects of makeup and is able to design and choose a look that is based on your style, personality, face shape, eye shape, skin colour/texture, lighting conditions, venue and whether you’re being photographed. I hold a Diploma in Makeup which is the highest level attainable in Australia.
You are not alone, many women feel this way. I take care to listen to your wishes and design a makeup that’s perfect for you.
I do basic hairstyling; however my expertise is in the application of makeup. For groups of two or more, it is best to have a separate hairstylist; it’s more time efficient because the hairstylist and I can work on two people at the same time.
I like to allow a minimum 45 minutes for the bride and 35 minutes for all other makeup applications.
I accept cash and Electronic Funds Transfer. Please contact me for EFT details.
Yes, I provide a fully mobile service. For locations 30 kms outside the Perth CBD, a travel surcharge may apply. Please contact me for more details.
I use Atelier, MAC, NARS, Stila, Kryolan, Chanel, Inglot, Pola, YSL to name a few. I choose the best products from a variety of ranges and constantly update my kit to reflect style trends and advancements in makeup technology.
The more information I have about you, the better! Collect pictures from magazines. I like to see your dress if possible and jewellery; details of the flowers, the bridesmaid’s dresses and a picture of how your hair is to be styled. All this provides me with a guide to your tastes and personal style.
Leading up to your event, regular facials are ideal along with a good daily skincare routine. Have your waxing completed at least one day prior to your special occasion. The night before gently exfoliate your face and on the day ensure your face is freshly cleansed and moisturized. It’s important that your eyebrows are groomed. I’m able to do this for you prior to the day. For more details see "Ultimate Brow & Lash Package"
Your foundation and eye makeup is applied to ensure maximum wear, so it will last for hours without a touch up. If your skin is prone to oiliness, I recommend a powder compact or blotting papers. You will need to touch up your lipstick. It’s a good idea to allocate one of your bridesmaids as ‘makeup attendant’. She will check your makeup before the photos and keep an eye on you throughout the evening to ensure you look your best.
I can supply a ‘touch-up’ kit which may include essentials such as blotting paper, compact powder and lipstick. Alternatively I can make a list of products for you to purchase.
It’s preferable to have your hair done first followed by makeup. If your hairstylist is present, I will liaise with them to determine the best outcome for you.
I observe strict hygiene practices; using a hand sanitiser between clients and all lip and mascara products are applied with disposable wands. My makeup brushes are sanitized between each client and thoroughly washed each day.
In every case, I use what is best for your skin’s needs. If you are concerned and have known allergies we can discuss your specific needs over the phone or at the trial.
A gift certificate is a wonderful idea and most women love the idea of being pampered. I am happy to arrange for a personalised gift certificate to be mailed out to you.
